Day One - LONDON

This will be the only blog I write - the student grupitos will handle the rest!  Today was a particularly long day because most of us only got a few hours - or a few minutes! of sleep on the plane and then we hit the ground running on our tour.

We landed at Heathrow, grabbed our bags, and met our Tour Director Fran, who will be with us every step of the way.  He has a very sharp sense of humor!

The first stop was to see the Houses of Parliament (from the outside) and to see Big Ben, the famous clock tower.

After that the kids were given free time in Leicester Square to shop and get lunch.  It was a very beautiful Spring day and so it was packed with Londoners and visitors sunning themselves on the grass, strolling through the parks, and just enjoying a gorgeous spring day in London!

An early dinner of a traditional British pie (either a chicken pot pie or a vegan pie) and then it was off to our hotel room for some much, much, much needed rest.  Awesome day, but now we need to recharge.
